Mr. Bishwa Panday – F.C.I.I

Chief Executive

Bishwa Panday is one of Guyana’s leading and experienced insurance professionals.

He joined the Guyana & Trinidad Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Guyana’s largest insurance company in 1974 as a junior clerk and by 1981 he had qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and held the position of Deputy Manager of the company.

Along the way, he worked in various departments including Accounts, Liability, Fire, Accident and Motor departments dealing generally with Property and Casualty insurance.

He was at various times a Supervisor, Management Trainee, Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager.

Bish resigned in December, 1983 to take up the position as Manager of the Hand in Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Company, a position he held until December, 1985 when he resigned to cofound P&P Insurance Brokers & Consultants Ltd.

Bish is also a former Education Chairman and long standing President of the Insurance Institute of Guyana.

He has been Chief Executive of P&P since July, 1991.

Mr. Vikash Panday – B.COMM (HONS), AINS, ERIS

Executive Director

Vikash Panday joined P&P Insurance Brokers in 2013 just after obtaining his B.COMM (HONS) degree.

He has been with P&P gaining valuable experience and in the process of handling several accounts and interacting not only with the local insurance market, but with several top London Brokers.

During his stay at P&P to date, he has obtained his Associate in General Insurance (AINS) from the Institutes, and he has completed an Energy Risk and Insurance Specialist (ERIS) diploma from the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI).

Chrystal Kissoon

Senior Account Executive – Life, Health and Pension

Chrystal Kissoon, joined P&P after spending seven (7) years in the Life, Health and Pensions department of the Hand-in-Hand Life Insurance Company, Chrystal has extensive experience in group medical, group life and pensions. She has completed a certificate in the Fundamentals of Insurance and is currently pursuing the FLMI/AMLI diploma programme

Ms. Varsha Panday – B.A, MSc, ASA, CERA

External/Actuarial Consultant

Varsha Panday did her undergraduate studies at University of Western Ontario where she graduated majoring in Actuarial Science and Economics. She proceeded to Warwick University, United Kingdom obtaining her Masters in Economics with merit.

Varsha recently qualified as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)

Ms. Vijaya Panday – BA, MSc (Dist.), ARM, AIS, AINS

Account Executive

Ms. Vijaya Panday holds a BA Cum Laude in Chemistry from University of South Florida and an MSc with distinction from University College London.

Vijaya interned with P&P for short periods over the past 2 years and has now joined as an Account Executive. She has completed the Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) Diplomas from The Institutes.

Mr. Paul Archer – ARM, CRM, ERIS

External Consultant – Risk Management

Paul has spent almost all his working life in insurance and risk management. Paul joined GTM (Guyana’s largest Insurance Company) in the late 70’s and spent most of his time there in the Motor Claims Department.

He resigned from GTM in 1982 to become the Assistant Manager of John Fernandes Insurance Service who were then Agents for GTM Insurance Company.

He held this position until 1995 when John Fernandes Insurance Agency became a branch of The Caribbean Home Insurance Company of Trinidad and Tobago, where he continued serving as Assistant Manager.

In 2000, Paul joined P&P Insurance Brokers as Manager of the Company. During his time at P&P, Paul handled several large corporate accounts on P&P’s client list and also started and completed his ARM (Associate in Risk Management) Diploma.

Paul migrated to Canada in 2004 and continued his academic studies obtaining his CRM (Canadian Risk Manager) and just recently the ERIS (Energy Risk and Insurance Specialist) Diploma.

Paul started out as an Account Executive of an Insurance Broker in Canada and is now Managing Partner of Youngs Insurance Brokers – Toronto, Canada. Paul visits Guyana from time to time and P&P consults with him on Risk Management with particular emphasis on Commercial and Industrial Risks and the Oil & Gas Industry.
